As a young man you probably have a big desire to change your life and to make it better, you probably have a lot of goals and dreams you want to achieve, but you keep indulging in life stimulations and gratification, seeking comfort even if you don't want it. You probably heard about something called self improvement and you're already reading about it in blogs and watching videos, that's great but you keep just watching videos and reading stuff whithout making a change in your life, you want all the self improvement benefits, you crave success but you're stuck in the same place: indulgence_instant gratification, you keep Making yourself promises to change your life but then you just get back to the same life of mediocrity, you keep asking yourself what's wrong with me, why can't I succeed, maybe I am just a loser, no you're not, nothing is wrong with you don't worry, I was in the same place as you, you're just stuck on where to start your self improvement journey and that's what we will cover in today article, I will reveal to you the things I wish someone taught me when I started my self improvement journey so give me your full attention. Before starting let me ask you a question.


Why do you want to start self improvement?

Before getting into the subject I want you to ask yourself some questions to clarify your goals and get ready for the commitment. First why do you want to start self improvement? either to improve your life or to achieve your goals, just take some time and think about your reasons to consider self improvement, for me it was to escape the life of mediocrity I was living, I don't know your reasons but I think if you're reading this you really need self improvement. Second ask yourself if you're ready to take a commitment? Self improvement is a big commitment for life so are you ready to commit to it? Good now that you know why you will start self improvement and you're ready to take the commitment, let's dive in.


Change your habits change your life :


Changing your life starts with changing your habits, we all know that, yet we keep indulging in bad habits, because it's comfortable, change is uncomfortable but if you resist the uncomfortability and took the pain you will enjoy the life changing you always wanted. 


Below are some of the habits that will change your life and make you a better person if you stick to them. (if you take the pain).those are the self improvement foundations everyone need especially a young ambitious guy like you.


Dopamine detox:

I will put dopamine detox the first on this list because first it's a life changing and second in our modern world and with the development of technology the distractions of social media, porn, and video games are the first enemy of young men, it fucks their dopamine receptors and hook them in instant gratification and addiction causing them a lot of problems from fatigue to low concentration and low motivation, and the list goes on, spending hours scrolling tik tok and playing video games is a bit of fun at the moment but it really destroys your future, that's why I recommend starting a dopamine detox, starting my dopamine detox was the beginning of my self improvement journey, sure it was painful but it was worth it, the benefits of dopamine detox range from improving your focus to better sleep, I won't lie to you the benefits are endless and I can't mention them all just search and you'll see or your could try them yourself if you decide to take a dopamine detox. 


كيف افعلها؟ قم ببساطة بتقليل الإشباع الفوري والحث على أنشطة الإرضاء المتأخرة بدلاً من ذلك.

لبدء التخلص من الدوبامين ، يجب عليك تقليل أنشطة الإشباع الفوري إلى الحد الأدنى والقيام بأنشطة الإشباع المتأخرة بدلاً من ذلك ، يمكنك البدء تدريجيًا ثم البناء على المزيد أثناء بناء الزخم. 


ممارسة

انضم إلى صالة الألعاب الرياضية أو ابدأ الجري أو المشي فقط ، مهما اخترت أن تفعل المهم هو بناء عادة ممارسة الرياضة كل يوم ، نعم كل يوم حتى لبضع دقائق ، أظهرت التمارين أنها تمنحك كل شيء من المزيد من الطاقة إلى المزيد من الثقة ، ممارسة الرياضة لها فوائد جسدية وعاطفية ونفسية لا تريد أن تفوتها ، وأكثر ما يعجبني هو ممارسة الانضباط التي تمنحك ، بمجرد انضباطك لممارسة الرياضة بانتظام ، ستلاحظ تعزيزًا في انضباطك في جميع مجالات حياتك.

Meditation is the first pillar of a self improvement journey, if you want more clarity and presence and focus and a lot of other benefits, then you should start meditating whether in the morning or before sleep, building a meditation habit is a guaranteed way to a better life, it reduces your stress, improve your relationships and connect you with yourself, simply watching your breath for 10 minutes is sure a great investment for your life improvement, how to meditate ? Simple just, sit close your eyes and focus on your breath, it may be hard at first, no problem, stick to meditation and you will notice the difference it make in your life. 


Reading

Oh that's boring, no no not another school dumb book where you don't learn anything, I talk about reading books that will enhance your knowledge, influence your thinking.,inspire you and sure change your life, an hour of reading is a life investment worth the time and effort, discovering new ideas and exploring the world, all while sitting in your home, building the habit of reading is another road to a better life, there is books out there about every topic from the most intelligent people in the world, grab another book and shorten your road to success.


Journaling

Your mind is probably ruching with thoughts, do you know what's the best way to clear your mind and refresh your thinking, simple a pen and a paper, writing your thoughts down has shown to clear your mind and releive your stress, another powerful habit that changed my life is Journaling, Journaling is the act of writing down your thoughts and feelings and everything you want, there is a lot of forms of journaling like:

Deep Journaling:writing deeply about your feelings.

Gratitude Journaling:writing what you're grateful for.

Goals Journaling:setting your goals and tracking your progress.

There is a lot of other forms of Journaling, however just grab a pen and a paper and start creating your life.
